Celebrate New Years Eve in Charleston

This year, we've got a variety of events happening across the city. You're sure to find something for everyone. Read on to find a sample of some of our favorite upcoming events.


Wild Dunes Resort Join our Island Adventures team for a family day of play! Join us for a NYE-themed craft, followed by evening BINGO and a festive family flick!

Children's Museum of the Lowcountry


Because life is better when there is confetti… that you don’t have to clean up!


Join us at the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry on Saturday, December 31 to celebrate the New Year together! CML will have special activation at the Museum, culminating in a noon ball drop and juice box toast on Camden Alley. Activities inside the Museum are free with paid admission and the outside ball drop on the alley is a free, walk-up event. No pre-registration required. The Museum will close at 12:30.

 

Lenoir Restaurant


Chef Vivian Howard's Lenoir restaurant is offering a prix fixe three-course New Year's Eve dinner with amuse bouche and champagne toast for $75 per person. Here is a menu sampling:

TOAST - Tiller Bread, Pepper jelly, Foie gras, Pesto, Saba glaze

OSSO BUCCO - Grits and greens, Pickled collard stems, Shaved turnips

DUCK - Dirty faro, Sweet and sour beets

LOBSTER RISOTTO - Cream Carolina gold rice, Peas, Pea shoots

 

South Carolina Aquarium


New this year, you can be the first to ring in 2023 at Aquarium Aglow! Celebrate New Year’s Eve on December 31 from 5:30–9:30 p.m. at a family friendly evening filled with festive fun, lively music and a special ball drop before bedtime. In addition to the full Aquarium Aglow experience, this event will have a DJ spinning party music, face painting and more exciting surprises.

 

Queen Street Playhouse


Join us for a sparkling performance celebrating the New Year long before midnight. The fabulous and renowned Lowcountry sister act Gracie & Lacy, backed by “That Charleston Band” will dazzle you with iconic jazz, holiday, swing and pop hits of Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé, Alecia Keys and more. Pssst. . . you might just see some tap dancing.
